why does my model turn black when i put a texture on it?

other textures show up fine. model has uvs

you have to resize the texture. Try reducing texture size from the project window, it should solve your problem.

Can’t really see your mapping type in the video but I would put it on ‘sphere’ if it doesn’t have an UV-map. After you put it on sphere you can change the size/position so it fits the actual sphere.
